The Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is a licensed mental health professional who provides therapy to couples, families, and individuals. The MFT uses a variety of techniques to help clients improve their communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy to clients with a variety of mental health needs, such as depression, anxiety, marital conflict, and child behavior problems.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the individual needs of each client.
  • Conduct assessments of client needs and progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care.
  • Participate in professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in marriage and family therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience providing therapy to couples, families, and individuals.
  • Strong clinical skills and judgment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to social justice and equity.
