MetroDoc Urgent Care is seeking a qualified individual to join their team as a Medical Collections Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and collections, with a proven ability to effectively communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve outstanding balances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact patients via phone, mail, and email to discuss outstanding balances and arrange payment plans.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with patients and insurance companies.
• Research and resolve insurance denials and appeals.
• Maintain accurate records of all patient interactions and payment transactions.
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in medical billing and collections
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with medical billing software a plus
